Mariana Wehbe is Philanthropic PR Maven. She is a woman that can do it all.
Coming from a 16 year corporate background, Mariana needed a new career that complemented her communication skills. She founded a boutique public relations firm, MW Communications, that serves some of Beirut's most well-known brands and companies. Aside from acting as a public relations guru, Mariana is now blazing a trail as the first woman in the region who has turned NGO auctioneering into a career.
Mariana’s success at auctioneering is spurned by a drive to assist those in need, by channelling both her personal history and a passion for philanthropy. As an auctioneer, she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the various non-profit organizations to auction works of noted regional and international multi-medium artists such as Ayman Baalbaki, Marwan Sahmarani, Nabil Nahas and many more.
A combination of dynamic personality and well-researched auction pitches have helped Mariana generate significant funds for over 30 NGO’s such as the Brave Heart Fund, an altruistic organization devoted solely to financing heart surgeries for underprivileged children. The Middle East office of Human Rights Watch has seen unprecedented success with Mariana’s auction skills, and continues to involve her in their auctions.
Mariana is currently the only woman in the Middle East that solely hosts auctions for NGOs. She has hosted over 30 auctions and raised over 6 million dollars since 2012 for various NGOs in Lebanon alone.
